Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students and I work together in a growth mindset classroom. I have two rotations where I teach math and science to a total of 38 students. I work to influence and create a passion for lifelong learning in my classroom through a variety of teaching methods and hands-on activities. My classroom is a living space that contains 19 students at a time where we use every inch of space to work, learn, and play. My class works on creating a welcoming environment to everyone who enters our room.
My Project
The students in my classroom work together to build a classroom community. We work collaboratively and cooperatively on a daily basis in all areas in our classroom. Every inch of our classroom is utilized for student learning and engagement.
My goal is to create a differentiated classroom where my students' needs are being met academically, behaviorally, and emotionally.
Through flexible seating I will be able to provide differentiated seating arrangements for students who learn best in a non-traditional setting. Some students learn best in a position other than sitting at a desk. I want to provide a comfortable way for every student to learn.
