My students need a group activity table to foster collaboration within small group instruction.
This project expired on June 8, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
We are readers, writers, mathematicians, historians, and scientists. Our school is located in a small rural town in the Low Country of South Carolina. We are a Title I school in which 100% of our population receives free breakfast and lunch.
We know that collaboration helps us grow and develop, so we strive to be helpful friends and supportive classmates.
We are all different, but we fit together to make an extraordinary group of learners. We love learning, experimenting and being creative together to build teamwork in our classroom!
We need a kidney shaped table in our classroom to better foster an environment of teamwork. Kidney tables are great for small group instruction and collaborative learning. Small group instruction is an essential part of individualizing instruction. We meet in groups for math and reading instruction throughout the day. Kidney tables make talking and sharing a lot easier!
A kidney table would provide my students a place to meet in reading groups and book clubs.
These groups will provide numerous opportunities for students to read, share their ideas and discuss what they are reading. A kidney table would allow the opportunity for my students have more shared learning experiences and help them to collaborate as they learn!
