My 4th and 5th graders come to school ready and eager to learn every day. They come from various cultural and socio-economical backgrounds in the San Francisco Area. More than half of my student population come from low-income households.
All students are provided with free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch every day.
Our school serves students in grades PreK-5th and is supported by a dedicated teaching staff. We provide a safe learning environment for students to learn and thrive. We are a small and unique public school in the city. Everyone knows each other which really helps bring a nice culture within the school.
My students learn in a number of ways. They thrive in learning environments where they are able to make choices. Flexible seating allows students to be comfortable in a space that is inviting and diverse. By providing a classroom with various seating options, my students are inspired to learn and collaboration with their peers comes effortlessly. When they enjoy the classroom environment and feel comfortable, it opens them up to learn more.
With these various seating options, my students will be excited to come to school everyday and learn.
If they are comfortable in the classroom, they will learn more. Giving them choices enhances their learning. Flexible seating will bring forth more team work between students and a positive learning environment for all to learn and grow.
