My students are amazing! They question the world around them and are always up for a challenge. They strive to help make me better and make themselves better. They need to have a classroom that truly embraces them if they are going to feel comfortable enough to perform at high levels.

They need a space to work in that is comfortable and books that tie into our curriculum. They love to read but need good books to do so.
My Project
These supplies will help the students to feel like the classroom belongs to them. The chalkboard contact paper will give space for students to recognize one another and post their questions. Our class embraces flexible seating, because of this, students like being able to have a wide range of seating options. The medicine balls will allow students who fidget to find a seat that will allow them to focus better on their school work. The books will provide more options for historical novels that will catch students' interest.
Students who embrace these materials will be able to take control of their learning.
They will have to take responsibility for where they sit and make appropriate choices for writing on the blackboard paper around the room.
