Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Doing and making the right choices when it comes to behavior can be a challenge to students of all ages. A little motivation to make the right choices can go a long way.

I work at a Title I, urban charter school.

Our school houses 400 K-8 students and supports full inclusion. This year, a positive behavior system was implemented to help students make the right choices when put into various situations. Students are encouraged to display positive behavior and can earn "Pro-Bucks" in the process.

My Project

When students make and show positive behavior choices throughout the school day, they are awarded with "Pro-Bucks". The "Pro-Bucks" are used to buy various school supplies at the school store. The students have been doing such a great job with displaying positive behavior that they are earning a lot of "Pro-Bucks". Unfortunately, this has taken a toll on the budget for keeping the school store replenished with a variety of school supplies. These school supplies including notebooks, pencils, and sketchbooks will provide excitement for the students and reinforce the benefits of positive behavior.

We need your help with promoting positive behavior in our school.

Your donations will allow us to keep our school store filled with school supplies that can be "purchased" with the "Pro-Bucks" the students continue to earn on a daily basis. Your generosity will have a big impact in motivating students to make positive behavior choices.
