The student population in my classroom is rich in diversity. It is a Title I school. Seventy-one percent of my kids receive a free or reduced-price lunch. My kids come from very different places throughout the county.
I want to provide a unique classroom environment.
My goal is to decorate my classroom to reflect the content that we are learning about and to use the room as a learning environment as well. I want to change the look every couple of weeks/month to reflect the change in time.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting will add a powerful punch to my classroom environment. I feel that decorating my room to enhance the content will help students achieve a greater understanding of the material.
I believe in the hands-on approach to learning, students should be able to see, hear, and touch what they are expected to learn.
Through previous DonorsChoose.org projects, I was fortunate to have headphones donated to my classroom. The posters will provide that visual aspect that I need to reflect on my goal.
I want to change the look of my classroom every couple of weeks to coincide with the content.
