Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students consist of more than half the student body being Black, Latinx, and/or Native American, and more than 50% come from low-income households. Unfortunately, this means the resources they need are not always readily available to them, this includes art supplies.

They are creative, ambitious, and curious, with a real desire to express themselves.

My Project

These art supplies will help our students to celebrate their diversity! The Colors of the World crayons and colored pencils will be accessible for use in each classroom from grades K - 6th. If in the near future our school has to go back to virtual learning, these supplies will be given to student for home use as well.

Inclusive products like these really encourage students to express themselves with confidence and let their uniqueness shine through.

Giving our students these resources will also help them in Identifying similarities and celebrating differences in others.
