Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Research shows that color affects your brain. Red makes you feel strong emotions, blue makes you feel calmer emotions, and yellow brings feelings of happiness because it's often compared in people's minds to the sun.

In addition to how colors affect emotions, color can help with memory retention, concentration, and stimulate creativity.

This project will allow me to provide markers and colored pencils, which will enhance instructional activities and allow students to visualize concepts in all of the colors of the rainbow.

Many of my students are refugees or asylum seekers and most live in shelters; this makes it difficult to acquire basic school materials. By having materials easily accessible, students can use them during class and potentially take them home to complete assignments.
