A typical day is my classroom is filled with learning and laughter. At the end of the year, I'd like for them to look back and say that they've tried their best and had some fun while doing so.
My first graders are all smiles and eager to start a new school day filled with learning opportunities!
We are a Title I school respectively, so my students come to school for an educational escape. My school acts like a family. We are already a close-knit group and everyone goes out of their way to help one another.
My Project
So many of the resources that I purchase and print out would be better utilized on cardstock paper.
Astrobrights makes an incredible product that would withstand at least a few years of use!
Not only is the paper durable, but they also have bright, engaging colors! Some examples of what I would like to print out would be math fact tickets and fluency strips. Both of these activities would be used during small group time to help students with automaticity of math facts and help with word recognition. Durable cardstock would be great to print them on so that small hands have something sturdy to use.
