This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from primarily low-income families who struggle on a daily basis. I try to provide as many great opportunities for my students in the classroom to make up for this. I have found that my students love to color in coloring books when they need a break or need to deal with their stress. Coloring has become an excellent tool for my students to practice mindfulness. It gives them a chance to relax, refocus, and clear their minds. Since their lives can be so hectic at home, I think this is a great tool for them to find peace of mind during busy school days.

This project will provide coloring books and art supplies in our classroom that students will use as a tool to practice mindfulness.

This will create a chance for students to calm down and move forward with their day with thoughtfulness. Your donation would make a difference for many deserving students!
