This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are learning and growing each and every day! They are becoming scientists, entrepreneurs, artists and much more in the classroom. Our classroom is filled with bright, primary colors and a variety of materials for them to manipulate, explore, play with and share. The room is specially designed to encourage their natural curiosity and desire to learn. They are our future and I want to encourage them that the possibilities are endless!

The students are always actively learning.

I have all their work around the room. I want them to be proud of themselves when they see their picture or project up on the walls.

My Project

Children learn about colors during their preschool years. The ability to identify colors is considered a huge milestone in a child's cognitive process. Recognizing the colors and learning the color names is a very important part of a child's development. The identification of colors can help create the cognitive link between visual clues and words. It plays a huge part in object recognition and helps a child develop descriptive language skills that will ensure clear communication. By providing ink for my classroom, I will be able to make sure that I hit upon all these important milestones in my student's lives.
