Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are highly motivated, creative, and eager to learn. They love working with foldables or anything that involves hands-on activities. Even though I work at an economically challenged school, my students do not let this be a barrier to their learning. About ninety-five percent of my students are of low social-economic status. All of my students are English Learners in a dual language classroom where they motivate each other to learn and work together to master whatever skill they might be working on.
Despite all the challenges that my students face both in and out of school, they are motivated to learn and be successful in everything that they do.
Their passion for learning and succeeding allows them to overcome the problems that they encounter throughout their lives.
My Project
The materials requested will help my students add "color" to their learning. They will be able to create foldables that appeal to them and use them as a review tool. The markers, pencils, pens, and crayons will be used by the students to create hands-on activities and review notes that appeal to their sense of sight.
Students will be motivated to use an array of colorful writing tools that enhance their learning.
Students will be able to use the lapboards to teach their peers with any concept that they might be struggling with or as a whole class review. They will be able to make their learning more fun and interactive.
