Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
“Babies of the campus” are a few words that have been used to describe our students.
My class is comprised of 10 unique and special students, all with their own shining personalities.
For many of them, this is their first school experience, and they are loving every minute of it! They are in an Early Childhood Special Education program. Each of them is working on his or her own individual goals as designed by their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). I want to help them reach those goals and make this their best year yet!
My Project
We are currently learning through distance learning. My students come from a range of backgrounds and disabilities.
We try to incorporate plenty of hands-on activities with them over zoom and these materials would help them reach some of their individual goals from their learning plans.
The markers and crayons will give them access to learn the colors and to individualize their projects.
The sensory materials would aid students with sensory sensitivities and aversions, many of whom have goals to overcome these challenges.
These materials are just a little something to help us keep distance learning fun and colorful!
