This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Underglazes offer a wide range of vibrant colors, allowing students to explore and experiment with different shades and tones. Students can learn about color theory, mixing underglazes to create new colors, and understanding how different colors interact with each other. Underglazes provide a versatile medium for surface decoration. Students can use various techniques such as painting, sgraffito, and layering to create intricate designs on their ceramic pieces.

This allows for creativity and personal expression, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in their work.

Underglazes can be a powerful tool for students to express their ideas, narratives, or personal stories through visual arts. They can use the colors and designs to convey emotions or communicate themes in their artwork.
