My crew is a classroom that works hard every day! The crew consists of 21 charming students and one caring teacher. We love learning and want to enhance our classroom experience with interesting and useful activities!
Our students come from many different economic backgrounds and family situations, but hard work is one thing they all have in common!
Our classroom is fun, engaging, and a second home for all my children. I try to do everything that I can to make them feel comfortable and welcome in our classroom environment. We are always laughing, smiling, and having fun learning new things. As a class, we do not let our differences stop us from achieving our educational goals!
We use construction paper on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis. The students use construction paper to make posters, crafts, flipbooks and create projects that reinforce their learning. Using construction paper allows students to display their creativity through hands-on learning. Creative learning provides an extension to learning that worksheets and lectures can not. When the students are working on projects and posters, they are calm and focused. Allowing students to use their creativity brings peace to them that is amazing to watch!
In a world of worksheets and testing, the students enjoy the freedom to use their creativity to show what they know!
In math, students use construction paper to create menus when we learn about adding and subtracting fractions. During science, students use construction paper to illustrate different stages of animal life cycles. Students use construction paper in social studies to create advertisements to promote the goods and services of our local area. For language arts, students use construction paper to make flipbooks that describe the beginning, middle, and end of a story. Construction paper is important to many things we do! Your donation to this project will not only help the students improve academically, but will also help them grow artistically.
