My Students
My school is in a small, rural community. A lot of my 5th grade students come from low-income homes. Over 75% of the school population receives free and reduced lunch. Despite the poverty level of most of my students, they are always eager to try new ideas and want to have fun in math.
My Project
I have been fortunate enough to change my roll half way through the school year from enrollment manager to 5th grade math teacher. I love my new roll and the students I get to work with and teach. However, the classroom has NO SUPPLIES and I need help!
Colored construction paper and washable markers (a whole box for the class) will help us create fun projects in math class.
We want to create fun and exciting projects, but it's almost impossible without the correct supplies. Any amount of support would be so thoughtful and greatly appreciated.
More than half of students from low‑income households
