For some of my students, coming into Kindergarten means it is the first time they will be part of a school and classroom setting. They enter feeling nervous and excited and throughout the year they accomplish so much!
They learn how to read, write, make friends, solve problems, take risks and make mistakes!
Their enthusiasm for learning inspires me to be the best teacher that I can be.
Teaching in a title 1 school in an urban neighborhood in New Jersey allows me the opportunity to teach students of many different cultures who are learning English as their second language. It is my goal to provide them with a classroom that makes them feel safe and at home. My students are small in size, but they accomplish big things.
We use our carpet every single day in Kindergarten. It is a place where my students read new books, learn about letters and numbers, but most importantly a space where they grow academically , socially and emotionally.
The number of students in my classroom has grown and we have outgrown our old carpet.
The "Colorful Places Seating Rug" will help my students be more engaged when we meet for whole group instruction. But most importantly, it will make my kinders feel safe and comfortable while learning!
My kinders will not only enjoy the comfortable space the carpet provides, but they will also love the colors, shapes and letters that the carpet displays.
