This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Welcome to Speech and Language!
Many of my students rely on picture cues to communicate.
The use of full color pictures or photographs often helps to boost and fill communication gaps. My children learn best with hands-on activities with eye-catching visual supports.
My students range in age from 5 to 8 years old. They are bright, energetic, and ready to learn. They come to speech and language therapy to improve their communication skills. Bright, colorful materials are motivating and attention capturing.
My Project
This project will help to make my therapy materials more visually engaging for my students. I have a printer but need some color ink to really "spice up" my therapy. I would like to make the materials long-lasting and card stock and laminating sheets should do the trick! The ink and paper products will be used to make articulation cards, visual schedules, and other flashcards.
The budget for paper has been tight this year.
I would like to be able to make copies of activities for students to complete, display, and take home to their families. As well as, send some practice work home.
