Help me give my students these resources! These resources will help us make the visual schedules for the students. The blocks will be used as a manipulative for the students to learn with on their light table.
I am a first year teacher with a wonderful first class. My students are special needs incorporated with a few typical peers. I have one amazing girl who is deaf. She is full of spirit and works hard. I have other students who are non-verbal, autistic, hard of hearing, and a few students with behavior needs. We all come together everyday to learn from each other. Some students are learning how to hold a crayon, some are learning how to talk, and others are learning core subjects such as math, and reading. However, with all of these different needs and levels of learning, it is hard to find supplies to meet all my students' needs.
My Project
These materials will help our students get the visual schedules they need. We will use these materials solely on our children to make sure they get the most out of their day in the classroom. The vinyl will help make the schedule's so we can stick them around the room. The pens will help us use words on these schedule's so our students can start putting words with pictures. This is how we get our student's familiar with words. This is the first step to getting them prepared for Kindergarten and reading! We are very excited to put these materials to great use in the classroom for our wonderful special needs students! The block manipulatives will help the students explore on their new light table!
