My Students

D.C. Intermediate School is located in a suburb out of Edmond, Oklahoma. My sixth-grade students come from a variety of backgrounds, but they are all eager to expand their knowledge. Their desire to explore really encourages me as a teacher to provide opportunities for engaging lessons.

My Project

I teach 6th grade science to about 130 students. I try to make science as engaging and hands on as possible. I do this through the labs that students complete in class. While students are completing labs, we go through steps in the scientific process that allows them to graph and display their data. This is through graphing and picturing drawing of their observations. With the help of these colored pencils, their drawings will come to life and help students create realistic drawings of what they are seeing and observing.

Colored pencils can take lab assignments from boring to exciting!

Students do not really get chances to show creativity in science, but through the use of these colored pencils students will be able to show more creativity than before.
