Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students always come into my art class full of energy and excitement. They love learning about new materials and processes for creating art. My students enjoy making art so much that, when it is time to clean up, they cannot believe the class time is over.
Art class becomes a safe environment where students can feel free to let their creativity run and make some beautiful artwork.
My students live in a border city with Mexico. Our school's student body is very diverse with students who grew up in the city and many students who relocate to the military base. Some of them struggle to open up and be themselves as many are learning English or recently moved to El Paso, TX. I am looking to keep things engaging and provide my students with a meaningful learning experience.
My Project
These materials will make a tremendous difference in my students' learning as they continue to make art in my classroom. My beginners' art class students need Prismacolor pencils for their art projects as they advance in their art skills. These colored pencils are essential for my students based on their high-quality drawings that these exception colored pencils will highlight their talent. Without these supplies, my students are limited to what they could use when drawing and hinder their artistic talents.
My students are ready to use their imagination while expanding on their artistic skills and development as they continue to make more art.
My students have used lower quality colored pencils and are ready to make more intricate drawings that required higher quality colored pencils. My students will also have an opportunity to more options of colors to pick from and to use on their drawings supporting their craftsmanship.
