Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a school where 100% of the population comes from low-income or disadvantaged households. The school, along with our entire school district, qualifies as Title I. Our school is located directly off a major highway in California.
Many of my students come from first-generation households, of which many have parents who have never attended college.
My students come to school in hopes of having a safe, engaging, and collaborative classroom. School today can have many challenges. There is a high amount of crime and poverty in the area that our school covers; we hope to challenge students to overcome and prove that they too deserve opportunities for growth. With your help, we can make sure they have the materials for success, health, and happiness.
My Project
This project is requesting one 3-piece set of color HP genuine toner cartridges. My students love to create models, drawings, and stories.
This project will give my kids a voice and it will make their voice as colorful and powerful as ever.
Sometimes black and white will just not do. Every now and then students need to be able to express themselves. This project will supply our color printer for a year of imagination, exploration, and of course, color. Thanks to Quill for their match as well, along with the generous donors who understand the power of colors. Thank you!
