Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students enjoy science. They enjoy hands-on lab experiments, colorful visuals and worksheets. Having a color printer will keep my students engaged with technology where they can put their own colorful visuals, charts, tables, graphs, and even pictures of themselves doing an investigation.
My students are curious learners who are really interested in science.
I see Pre-K through Fifth Grade and have noticed that my students are motivated when they are given colorful worksheets and have to use technology in their project. Most of my students are from low income households and don't have a computer or a printer where they can see colorful images. My students are ELLs, and some are in an Inclusion Classrooms.
Parents are supportive and view the School Science Lab as a great classroom where their kids are engaged in real hands-on science.
My Project
This resource will benefit my students tremendously. First, it will be a great motivation tool. Secondly, it will connect the science with the technology. They will be able to use computers and printers not only in building their technology skills but to develop meaningful science projects especially when using the scientific method, and a great resource to build their STEM projects.
The donation to this project will enhance my science lab to benefit all the students from Per K through Grade 5.
It will build my students self esteem, motivate them, help them to produce quality science projects and keep them hooked onto science and technology.
It will help my students because they will see themselves as emerging scientists.
