My students need HP laser jet color and black ink cartridges for our classroom printer.
This project expired on July 17, 2011.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My first graders are always so creative and expressive. Last year I had a project fully funded that provided my students with a colored printer so that they could make their own books. Well, we still have the printer but we are out of ink!
I teach first grade at a low-socio economic public school in Oklahoma.
I normally have between 18-20 first graders in my classroom. My students come to me with the beginning reading skills, my job is to turn each student into a fluent established reader and writer.
Six and seven year old students are sometimes hard to motivate and excite. I have found their weakness, by using technology, the students are more motivated and excited about reading and writing. My students develop their own stories, edit for mistakes, and then type into the computer. Once their story is complete, we print the final draft in color. The students are so excited to read the stories they created to their peers and parents.
My school district has faced many budget cuts this year.
They are unable to give classroom teachers money for needed supplies. I want my students to be excited about reading and writing. HP has a double your impact offer for their products which means they will fund half of this project. I need donors like you who care about my students and who are willing to help us get the other half of our project funded. Your donations are greatly appreciated by my students and I.
