Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a diverse group of students in a public high school. My students come from a variety of countries and different socioeconomic backgrounds. My students range from 9th to 12th grade and are eager to learn a new language. Some students may be learning a language for the first time, some speak Creole because of their Haitian roots, and some speak English and Spanish and are learning French as their third language. My students need appropriate and up-to-date resources to help them learn French and be successful in this endeavor.
My Project
Learning a new language requires students to use their language in presentations, which often include a project, brochure, or poster. When these projects are presented using the computer, they are colorful and exciting to look at. However, as our current printer only prints in gray scale the projects are not as inspiring once printed.
With a color printer and color ink, the projects would be able to be printed out in vibrant colors and displayed in the classroom.
Students will be so happy to see their projects in bright colors and the projects will catch the attention of their classmates!
