The Blue Jays of S. E. S. are nestled in the farmland of North Carolina. Placed in a high-needs area, this is a Title I school. The students recognize the school as a safe and comfy place to spend their days. Our classroom, named the "Big Top," is a rich environment in which students are eager to learn! We have a love for collaborating and finding the "just right" spot in the room to do our best work. As the students take ownership of their learning, the Ringmasters are discovering the modes and materials that they need to best represent their learning!
The Ringmasters are developing their love of learning through the arts. As an arts-integrated school, our daily content is infused with a variety of artistic activities that deepen our understanding of the curriculum. We have tapped into our creativity, opening up worlds we didn't even know existed! The use of painting, creating collages, dancing, creating dramas, and playing sound has made our world go round!
As we engage as artists, we look for inspiration and materials that can help us showcase our ideas.
These children's books about artists and art styles, along with the watercolor sets, will help us to unleash the creativity that is inside of us! With these materials, we will be inspired to continue our exploration of the art forms and to color the world around us.
