My students need 20 ink cartridges for our classroom printer. My students' stories and essays will come to life with text and pictures once we receive ink cartridges.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a part of a Title I, urban elementary school in Harlem. This elementary school is comprised of 90% of students that receive free or reduced lunch and 90% of the students that speak a different language at home.
With the world around us changing through technology, I believe that my 5th graders need their learning to be integrated with more use of technology.
My 5th graders, like any kids in this generation, love to use the computers in the classroom. Not only are computers helpful when it comes to getting work done, but they also allow our students to learn from educational programs.
My Project
My 5th graders, like any kids in this generation, love to use the computers in the classroom and they like to type up their stories and essays even better!
My students will be able to use these ink cartridges for the printer in our classroom.
Since my students are from an urban area in Harlem, their access to computers and printers is very limited.
As an educator living in the 21st century, I believe the use of technology is vital to every child's education today.
We no longer write essays with pencils and paper, so why should our students still do so? I want my students to experience and learn how to type on computers, how to manage their work on Microsoft Word, how to print and utilize the technology in the classroom on their own. In order to do so, we will need ink cartridges so that the students can use the computer in the classroom, as well as the printer that has been made available for them.
Allowing my students to use technology now will bridge the gap they are consistently facing when it comes to suburban schools where technology has always been made available for them to use and learn from. My students enjoy typing their work. They also enjoy adding all sorts of images and designs to their papers. We would be extremely grateful for the help!
