Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with preschool aged children in a low income area. Each of the students in our Intensive Support population possess a challenge. These disabilities impact student learning and present obstacles in all academic areas.
Our students benefit from consistent routines with visual schedules, labels and color rich print!
Our students require frequent opportunities for movement and sensory input in order to reach their full academic potential. The resources requested will help me assist them to increase focus, develop calming strategies and communication skills.
My Project
Young learners get there 1st impression of school life at this precious age of 3 and 4. I want them to ask to come to school! These activities will help them learn in fun creative ways. Just by exploring with the Leapfrog Magnetic Letters and Numbers, they will learn them naturally.
My students need hands-on tools to manipulate and explore.
We need color in our lives. I know the powers that be think it is not a necessity but I think color brings understanding when you are learning. Show me a black and white picture of orange juice and I don't see orange juice. Help bring color to my class!
