This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom includes 24 extremely hardworking students! Many of these children come from low-income homes, which comes with various day to day struggles. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch each day at school; however, they come to school each day with dreams and ambitions for the future. We are a very diverse classroom and work hard to acknowledge each individual's differences.

My goal is to provide my students with visuals to support their learning in the classroom.

My Project

In a very diverse classroom with both English Language Learners and students with learning disabilities, visuals are crucial. I utilize visuals with my students on a daily basis. Some of the ways in which I meet the needs of my students is through the use of colorful vocabulary word walls, notebook inserts, and pictures.

Our classroom printer is no longer working and our school does not have a colored printer.

It would be extremely helpful to have a colored printer to continue making these resources. I worry about my students who will suffer due to the loss of these supports.
