Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My kindergarten class is comprised of students who are eager to learn. Despite some limitations that affect urban city students today, they are full of endless possibilities that reflect in their attitude and their work.
Kindergarten students are in the early stages of development and it is critical to give them the foundation now.
This will allow them to have a brighter future and help build a better world tomorrow. Your donations will help us to get the tools we need to ensure they can get the most out of their education.
My Project
Students tell stories all the time. They stop and tell me their stories in the middle of everything else that we are doing. I would like to have all the mediums to play with and to work with so my students can create their stories.
Once students get their stories drawn out, I would like to scan the stories into the computer to showcase them to their parents.
Digitally telling stories is easy if you have the write story to tell and the correct materials to tell it with.
Some students might need water color paint with lots of brush options to really illustrate their points. Other students want bold markers to SCREAM their point. Most of my students love the crayons for their every day story with a hint of colored pencils for the fine details.
I can't wait to tell my students they will get a chance to make their story on paper then email it to Mommy and/or Daddy.
