My students are highly motivated Advanced Placement juniors and English II sophomores who live in a small town. They are energetic and eager to learn. They attend a high poverty school. My goal is to improve their reading and writing skills by providing creative and high-interest lessons.
Many of them are involved in numerous extracurricular activities, AP classes, and are gainfully employed as well.
These goal-oriented young men and women are active in the school and community. They not only want to take the AP test, but they want to score high enough to earn college credit.
My Project
The toner will allow students to print their work when needed. The glue sticks will allow students to construct projects. The Flair pens will allow students to draw and color intricate lines that markers are too big for. The pencil sharpener is specifically designed for colored pencils. The letters will allow students to spell out all the words that they wish on our letter board. At this time, they have to shorten the quotes that they want to share.
These supplies are an odd collection, but this odd assortment is the basics that my students need to be successful in our classroom.
