The modern world needs problem solvers!! That is just what a robotics team does! Each year we are challenged to build a robot to meet specific criteria. Then we compete with other teams around the Tri-state to see how effective our robot preforms the competition task.
We are a second year robotics team.
We have grown for just 4 members to 13. Each week we meet after school to build and program a robot for competition. These students are dedicated, sincere, problem solvers who are terrific team members. They take time to teach new members, work with other teams at competition to improve their skills, and continue to push themselves to be better. They address each issue that occurs with their robots as a challenge to improve not a failure.
My Project
The need for safety glasses for the entire team means they will not have to share or wait to use equipment necessary to compete the robot construction. The tools requested will help the team to continue to improve the construction of their robots. These items will allow the team to compete at a higher level. Team members will learn appropriate safety and tool usage.
Our young team wishes to make a bid for World Championship competition in California.
The safety items and tools will allow the team to grow. Each team member will be able to participate daily. Each team member will continue to improve construction skills and robotic training along with team building skills. These are all life skills not just robotics skills.
