The students at this school are like family. Our school is in a low income area and the students are grateful for what they have. Our school is very small so it feels like a little family. We all know each other and know the students by name.
We have vested interest in making sure our students are successful.
As we talk to our students we want to make sure that they have all the opportunities to be successful and know how to find those opportunities.
A lot of our students will be the first in their families to go to college and some the first to graduate high school. It is a team effort by the staff to ensure that the students not only have the academics to achieve their goals but the soft skills to achieve those goals as well.
My Project
We are so excited to celebrate our student's future with the national signing day event. #BetterMakeRoom and Michelle Obama encouraged schools to celebrate their students future success with an assembly.
We will be celebrating students who have decided to go to college, military or if they have received a certification for a Career Technical Program.
We are requesting a banner that the students will be able to sign, certificates to give the students and all faculty and students will be wearing shirts declaring where they are going.
We are inviting the local leadership to this event as well. We are very excited about this event and we hope you can help us make it memorable for our students.
