Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a small rural high school in the San Jacinto Mountains. Our students strive hard to get a good education as well as pursue postsecondary education. We want to honor the students that are pursuing postsecondary education by having a College signing day and celebrate their choice.
We are a small high school that serves a population of 272 students.
We don't have any funds in our school for extra celebrations ceremonies like the college signing day that many of the bigger high schools have. We want to give our students the same experience as many other high schools experience at this time of year by holding a celebration of their choice to pursue postsecondary education. Your donations will enable us to create this opportunity for our community to celebrate the accomplishments of our students.
My Project
`These materials will allow us to celebrate our students that have committed to pursuing postsecondary education. We want to celebrate their decisions with the community and their families by holding an assembly in which the students are recognized for their accomplishment of being accepted to a university and provide them with a certificate that has the name of their future schools.
We would also like to give the students a little token of our appreciation and we decided to hand out 100 Grand candy bars as a symbolism of the students earning potential since the will be pursuing postsecondary education.
The certificates and the certificate holders will allow us to print the name of colleges that our student has committed to. We would also like the banner that states "We are so proud of you" and the congrats photo background so that we can have students take photos with their families along with their certificate in front of the banner and congrats photo back drop.
