Our high school is located in northwestern Palm Beach County and has a total student population of approximately 2,265 students. We offer a wide range of academic and vocational programs, and continue to provide students with the type of education that will challenge and successfully prepare them for postsecondary success.
The specific population targeted for this celebratory event is our entire Senior class!
This school year there are 579 students in the Senior class, but ALL students on our campus will benefit from College Signing Day!
Our School Counseling Department strongly believes in the importance of building and inspiring a college-bound culture. By the year 2020, 60% of all jobs will require a college degree.
My Project
One of the many reasons we love this event is because it is easy to implement and produces HUGE gains for our student population and campus as a whole. There are some essential items that we need, which result in so much happiness and smiling faces for our students.
Our students absolutely LOVE the fun celebratory gifts such as the stickers, candy and wristbands.
They sign a huge college banner while music from our school band plays in the background. Countless pictures are taken in front of our red carpeted backdrop and college posters are hung up everywhere.
It is truly a unique and well-deserving celebration of our students' goals and post-secondary plans!
