My students need to get excited about college! The process begins with researching schools on their new laptop. Once accepted, they will be excited to personalize their acceptance on the "Where You Are Going" board.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My seniors are hardworking, determined and motivated to get into the right colleges and universities. They are proactive and eager to begin their future. They have been exploring and learning about college and career readiness since elementary school and this upcoming year is where it all comes together as they apply to colleges and make their dreams a reality! Our district provides breakfast and lunch to the entire student body. Our students need the resources to be able to choose the college that is right for them to begin their future of success!
My Project
The students will apply to college using the laptop purchased. As they become accepted to their schools, they will be able to use these colorful pennants to indicate their schools on our bulletin board. The Counselor board is a fun way to welcome our students into our offices. There are students in preparation for college that may utilize the self-esteem game in a small group setting. All these collective materials will aid our students and further assist them in various aspects of the college application and acceptance process. Our goal is to make them excited and look forward to new adventures in college!
