My Students

We are a small, rural high school with about ninety students in each grade. Despite this, we have many extended learning opportunities for students in the hopes they will get further experience regardless of their future goals and aspirations. We are currently partnered with three area colleges as an Early College, so students can continue for a fifth year for free. Many of our students are first-generation college students and need help making that transition to the college setting.

We want to continue supporting all of our students in their transition from high school to college as well as expanding our college-going atmosphere.

This helps ALL students--even if they aren't planning on college after high school.

My Project

Due to the rural nature of our district, many of our students still don't have the internet in their homes. That means they have to do all of their online work while in the school, which sometimes puts a strain on our resources. This includes our seniors that are trying to apply to colleges and complete their FAFSA and communicate with different admissions departments. It also includes students researching future careers.

Having extra Chromebooks in my office will allow me to assist students more easily and in small groups.

The surge protector will protect the Chromebooks when they are charging.
