My Students

My students are fantastic! For most, they never thought college was a possibility or that they were "good" enough to go to college and that is starting to change. I love watching them on their journey from young freshman, to juniors who are now looking towards a brighter future. They are pushing themselves academically and professionally. I can't wait to see where life takes them all. They all call me "school mom" and it is an honor to help them achieve their dreams.

My Project

For most of my students, they will be the first person in their family to go to college. The students need a place to organize all the papers and materials they need to apply for college and to apply for scholarships. These folders will help not only organize their paperwork but also keep their information safe. For some of my students, their house is not a safe place for them to keep track of these important materials like letters of recommendation, scholarship essays, SAT scores, and/or transcripts. We will work on gathering the materials they need to be able to apply for college and for scholarships and work on those applications in class as they move on through their senior year.
