Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our student body is diverse, representing a variety of cultures and lifestyles. These students are a phenomenal bunch that work together with a common goal - excellence achieved. They are the future leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. They do their homework and work hard every day.
Our students have aspirations to attend some of the premier universities in the US and abroad, and we need to prepare them for success at these institutions.
These students are highly motivated and intellectually gifted. Pushing them to new heights is imperative.
My Project
These sensors enable our students to efficiently collect data during a variety of our AP Physics lab activities. With them, students are able to significantly reduce experimental error allowing them to clearly connect what they've read in the book to what they've experienced in the lab.
The motion, force, and acceleration sensors will be used in Physics, AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C throughout the entire first semester (every unit will incorporate a lab using these sensors).
The current probes will be used in AP Physics 2 and AP Physics C E&M as the students explore RC and RLC circuits.
Without these sensors, data collection is often time consuming, cumbersome, and error filled. This will transform the data collection process giving our students more time to develop experiments and analyze the data that these sensors collect. Thank you for your support.
