My students need whiteboard markers, pencils, erasers, and glue sticks to complete their day to day work. We take advantage of our whiteboard tables and erasable markers to work collaboratively on problems.
Located on the Flathead Native American Reservation in Montana, our Middle School serves over 400 5th through 8th grade students from the surrounding areas. We have a large Native American population (just over 50%) representing the Salish, Kootenai and Pend D’Oreille tribes. Almost 90% of our students qualify as “low-income.” We are located near the South of the Flathead Lake and West of the beautiful Mission Mountains. We are the Chiefs and Maidens!
My Project
Students enjoy the opportunity to work collaboratively on the table tops. Sometimes they will work together to problem solve in this space and other times they will work side by side, checking their work versus that of those around them. This allows students to compare and contrast approaches to similar problems. Whiteboard markers are a huge help for this.
We try to provide all materials needed to enhance the creative production of our students.
This includes the markers, pencils, erasers, glue sticks and other various supplies included in this project! I am excited to see what this year's young minds bring to the table!
