My Students

The students in my first grade classroom come from a plethora of backgrounds and bring many different learning styles and abilities to school each and every day. Our school is a Title-1 school located in Andrews, South Carolina.

The students in my first grade classroom come eager and ready to learn every single day.

It is my job to create a learning environment in which the students can thrive and prosper!

The students in my classroom greatly benefit from social interactions that allow them to learn together as a whole group.

My Project

In my first grade classroom, we often participate in active whole group learning. One way that I engage my students in a whole group setting is by using engaging anchor charts and learning materials. Easels are a great place for displaying and storing the learning materials that we use everyday.

Easels are a wonderful tool for teachers to use in a whole group setting.

Many of the activities that I use to teach skills in all subjects are easily displayed on easels and whiteboards.

Many of the students use the materials displayed and stored on the easel as a tool for their everyday learning and understanding of the first grade curriculum.
