This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My student are energetic, curious, and a bright group of children that always keep me on my toes. All of them come to school each day with a smile on their face ready to tackle whatever is in store for them! They love to learn with one another and explore the classroom and different materials that are around the room.
This school year we have taken away traditional desks and are using tables instead!
This allows for collaborative work among students which leads to amazing learning. My students are loving the opportunity to work with their table groups instead of sitting individually!
My Project
My students absolutely love being able to work in groups at tables! But unfortunately, losing desks means losing storage space for textbooks and work books. These materials will provide organized storage space for the students to keep their materials and will make it easy for them to access.
Right now we have six laptops in the classroom that the students use throughout the day but no headphones to use!
The ones we have had been worn down throughout the years and often do not work. These headphones will provide the opportunity for students to concentrate on the work they are completing on the computers instead of being distracted by the discussions going on in the classroom.
