My middle school students are beaming with life and personality. I strongly encourage collaboration and problem solving in my classroom. These 7th graders meet every challenge I throw at them with grit and charisma! The preteen years are difficult, precious, and developmentally foundational. The 7th graders deserve the best I can give them to help them grow into phenomenal, caring, and empathetic young adults. Through working together and problem solving, these kiddos will become unstoppable and be ready to take on challenges in literature and in life.
From Shark Tank presentations to debates and escape rooms, my students collaborate and discuss on the daily. Clunky desks often get in the way and do not allow all members of the group to fully participate, leaving them to feel left out and not a part of the team! Right now, we only have 6 desks like this in my classroom; every one of my students deserves a desk like this.
These triangular shaped desks will allow students to jump into the discussions without being too far away to be heard.
Please help us encourage and foster a classroom full of collaboration and peer-to-peer education. We can’t wait to get started on our English projects, discussions, and book groups.
