My Students

I've worked in a NYC's Chinatown for 15 years. Most of our students are English Language Learners and many are from low income families. They don't all live difficult lives but many of their lives are not easy. But you wouldn't know it if you met them. I've spoken to many people who have come through our doors (volunteers, outside consultants, future teachers, etc.).

They all say the same thing, they love our kids.

They are always so motivated and eager to learn.

My Project

Every student is an individual and each has their own way of developing their understanding of the world. iPads can be used as tools to enable students to be leaders of their own learning.

Through the use of iPads, students will be able to deepen their understandings of essential concepts when they are able to collaborate with their peers and share their learning with others.

In addition, through the use of apps, students will be able to get the individualized instruction they need to build their foundational skills.

iPads are also wonderful motivators. They make learning fun and engaging for everyone!
