Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My scholars are compassionate, creative, hard workers who come to school excited to learn as much as they can. They love projects that allow them to work collaboratively to share their knowledge with others.
As scholars in our dual language program, we are learning to embrace the language of the community and the cultures in which our families comes from.
My scholars come from families of migrant farm workers and understand that their education is a path to relieve the poverty around them.
My Project
Scholars will use the styli, headphones and handsets to create posts in their digital portfolios that showcase their understanding using our classroom iPads. The headphones will help scholars to remain focused on their iPad during centers.
Being able to show their work through their digital portfolios allows scholars to connect and share their learning with each other and their families.
Scholars create videos and recordings of themselves reading, explaining math and science concepts as well as celebrating a job well done. These tools will allow them to make videos and recordings that include less background noise, allowing their families to focus on their masterpiece!
