My Students

Our school district has always tried to be a leader in the world of education. We were some of the first to adopt a one to one plan, putting iPads in the hands of all our students in hopes they would each have individualized learning and challenges that met their needs. In our district, we don't allow income status to be a barrier for student learning, we do all we can to balance the scales and ensure that every child receives a quality education.

My students are artistic, creative, and hardworking.

They are eager to learn and work together to tackle problems and projects. We, however, need seating that will save space and allow for frequent movement in our classroom.

My Project

These materials will allow my students the ability to quickly make a group in the back of my class for collaboration, small group instruction and brainstorming.

Currently we have all of our seating situated to view and use the white board in the front of our room, but with these materials we could utilize the board at the back for multiple purposes.

When there is a support teacher in the classroom, he/she can use one side of the room for small group instruction and I can use the other. My students are always working in small groups in every subject area, but this will allow for more than one group to write on the board to share ideas and work together to problem solve.
