Collaborating While Coding with Botley

My Students

My students are a fun loving energetic and willing to learn new things kind of class. They love to explore and build and create on their own. They are learning more and more about independence each day. They are eager to learn new things and I want to help them do that. My students also need time to work together and collaborate with others in a safe environment so they can learn how to do this in life. My students are 1 second grade class out of 6. We are a building of 2nd - 4th grade students, with approximately 400+ students.

My Project

Second grade students are energetic and ready to learn new things, but need to learn how to collaborate and work with others. These Botleys will allow my students just that, they will be able to work together to make their Botley move. They will have to collaborate with their peers so they can master challenges through Botley. My students will have to learn how to take turns and be a good partner, all while learning a new skill of coding with Botley. This project will be new to some students and they will have to think outside of their comfort zone and use problem solving skills to pass the challenges set.
