This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Title I school in which most of the students are on a free/reduced lunch. I would like to implement Google Classroom in my science classes so that my students can be engaged further by integrating technology and collaborating data.

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions!

They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects that allows them to think outside the box to find solutions.

An classroom iPad would assist my students by giving them the opportunity to work on their projects after school. In order for this exciting integration of technology and science, funds are needed to purchase an Ipad.

My Project

Providing students with an Ipad to learn how to utilize technology and science will further engage them. They will use Google Drive, Google Classroom, and other web based sites to collaborate with each other using real time data and analysis just like scientists do in the real world! Having the an Ipad will allow me to teach the science engineering practices and apply inquiry based learning in my classroom. Students will utilize technology when engaging in hands-on inquiry based labs in which groups of students will share lab results, including data collection and analysis in real time in order to bring connections to the learning goals and objectives of the lesson.
