Help me give my students the equipment they need to continue training hard into the fall and winter seasons. The beanies, running gloves, and running tights will offer our students opportunities to train hard in the cold.
At our high school, my students are among the kindest and most energetic people you will ever meet. My students enter the classroom and the practice field from all over the world, many of them here for the very first time. They work hard and do their best to succeed in the hectic world that is high school.
However, they have many obstacles to overcome.
For many, the only food they eat is provided during school. They travel many miles home from school and from practice, and often cannot afford the $1.35 bus fare. They face many challenges, from rough neighborhoods to affording school supplies, running gear, and more. To top it off, they compete in athletics against many of the most affluent schools in the state, where students do not have to worry about any of the challenges that my students do.
My students are willing to do whatever it takes to be successful and to go the extra mile, but they need the tools to help them do it.
My Project
The cross country season in New England begins in the heat of the summer, but eventually transitions to the chill of autumn. The cold weather is now upon us, and our students need hats, gloves, and running tights to stay warm and train at their best.
The AlaskaCache beanies, Nike running gloves, and Bayleaf tights have been carefully selected to keep our students comfortable in the cold weather and continue to train to reach their end-of-season goals.
Instead of dreading the cold weather, they will embrace the crisp autumn air that signals the end of cross country season because they will be prepared and have the appropriate gear!
