Our varsity girls golf team is made up of a dynamic group of young ladies. Their golf skills, honed with hours of dedicated practice, have won them several local and district matches placing them 4th in the state last year.
What's most impressive about our team is their ability to play well in a variety of weather conditions throughout their August to October golf season in Pennsylvania.
Last year, they played in 90-degree sweltering heat to 40-degree rain and sleet.
My Project
Playing golf in Pennsylvania can be a real challenge, especially with variations in weather. Our varsity girls golf team could play more comfortably with fleece headbands and zip-ups.
“There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.”
― Alfred Wainwright
The girls on our golf team each currently have a polo and rain gear, but having a golf-specific warm layer zip-up, would provide extra warmth on cold days while still allowing the girls to swing with ease. These golf zip-ups match our school colors, too! In addition, fleece headbands can be worn alone or with golf caps to keep ears warm on the course.
